Cabbage Soup Diet


Ahh, the diet of cabbage soup famous. Most people interested in the diet have certainly heard of him. Many have tried a version of it. Since no one has ever claimed to be the inventor of this system, there is no definitive cabbage soup diet, but rather a series of releases going around magazines and the Internet. All experts who have tried to promote this plan, either add or replace an existing one, which means that apart from the cabbage soup you can expect to see a wide range of other foods, but nothing spectacular.

The biggest problem with the diet of cabbage soup is all the hype surrounding it. Some people claim that cabbage has fat burning properties, which is absurd. Others say it could take a whooping 10 pounds in a week on this diet, which is also false. There is no magical ingredient in cabbage that helps weight loss. The basic idea behind the diet is to starve yourself by drinking plenty of cabbage soup and water on the side. The trick is to

keep your stomach filled with cabbage soup to keep hunger away while the body burns fat to maintain itself.

The first version of the diet of cabbage soup offered nothing but the soup base. Recent versions have added fruit, vegetables, skim milk, lean meat or

brown rice for eating plan to help people stay with it longer. Dieters are not allowed alcohol. Drinks that one side of the cabbage soup, water and unsweetened juice. The soup itself is based on the cabbage, onions (or onion soup mix), tomatoes, green pepper, celery, carrots and mushrooms. There are some variations even here, but nothing important.

Unfortunately, the diet of cabbage soup is not a good idea. Many people can not follow a diet that forces them to starve every day, especially people who have to work. Another problem is that most weight loss through this diet comes from water and muscle mass instead of fat. This means that seven days later, the diet still has all the fat and a good initial opportunity to replace lost muscle mass with more fat. And last but not least, low calorie intake at the base of the power supply will force the body to enter starvation mode and cling to the existing fat for its survival. Not a good way, not safe to lose weight effectively.
